TayPE End User Licence Agreement
The short version
This is a plain-English guide to the licence. The full EULA below is the agreement that applies.
You can
- Use TayPE to make records, mixes, demos, edits, and other audio work.
- Use a Personal licence for your own music, your band, your writing, production, and artist projects.
- Use a Commercial licence for studios, labels, paid client work, business use, selling or licensing audio work, or commercially distributing music.
- Move from Personal to Commercial if your use changes.
Do not
- Do not use a Personal licence for commercial work.
- Do not assume TayPE is guaranteed to be perfect.
- Do not skip backups, exports, or session checks.
- Do not rely on TayPE being right for every plugin, driver, setup, session, or workflow.
The risk bit
- TayPE is provided as-is.
- We do not promise it will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or suitable for your setup.
- If TayPE loses work, corrupts data, crashes, misbehaves, or disappoints you, that risk stays with you.
Full EULA
TayPE is licensed, not sold. By installing, opening, or using TayPE, you are accepting this agreement.
What you can do
Use TayPE on the machines and in the ways allowed by your licence tier. You may make records, mixes, edits, demos, and other audio works with it.
Licence tiers
A Personal licence is for individual musicians, bands, writers, producers, and artist projects using TayPE for their own music and creative work.
A Commercial licence is required when TayPE is used as part of a business, organisation, studio, label, production company, paid service, or other commercial operation. It is also required if you are commercially distributing music, selling or licensing audio work, producing client work, or otherwise making money from works on a commercial basis.
If your use moves from Personal to Commercial, you must move to the Commercial licence tier before continuing that commercial use.
What you cannot claim
TayPE is provided "as is". No warranty whatsoever is provided. There is no promise that TayPE is error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or suitable for any particular studio, session, system, or workflow.
There is no guarantee of fitness for any purpose. If TayPE loses work, corrupts data, misbehaves, crashes, or fails to meet your expectations, that risk stays with you.
Risk
Use of TayPE is entirely at your own risk. You are responsible for backups, exports, session checks, compatibility checks, and any decisions you make while using the software.
Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Ruminant Audio Works is not liable for any loss, damage, cost, claim, or consequence arising from your use of TayPE or your inability to use it.
Third-party software
TayPE may rely on third-party components, operating-system services, audio drivers, plug-ins, or external tools. Those dependencies are provided under their own terms and may affect behaviour, compatibility, or availability.
Updates
TayPE may change over time. New builds may alter features, fix bugs, introduce new bugs, or change compatibility. This agreement applies to those builds unless a later version of the agreement replaces it.
